APARTMENT GALLERY

With state and local government support, Gábor Karátson’s widow, Szilvia Granasztói, created an Apartment Gallery that is open to visitors in the artist’s former studio apartment. The Gábor Karátson Apartment Gallery and Memorial opened on 12 December 2017 in Deák Square in Budapest’s 5th district.

The activities of the Archive also encompass the systematisation and digitisation of the artworks preserved in the Apartment Gallery, with the aim of ensuring that the intellectual legacy of Gábor Karátson remains fully researchable and accessible in the coming decades. The Gábor Karátson Apartment Gallery and Memorial will also host programmes presenting the significance of Karátson’s achievements
